Donate to support young carers in Barnet

make a difference in 2026

Donate today

While we receive some local government funding the majority of our work with young carers is funded voluntarily.

The demand for our services continues to grow as we identify more and more young carers.  And they need our support.

They do a fantastic job and we just want to help level the playing field for them through wellbeing and educational support and opportunities through our activities programme. Can you help us?

Donations of all sizes allows us to make a difference to the lives of these remarkable young people.

Making a difference

Barnet Young Carers extraordinary outcomes reflect our ambition and dedication on the part of young carers. Despite the financial challenges that charitable organisations such as ours face to sustain projects and initiatives long term, we can celebrate the achievements of a service where young carers are valued and encouraged, where they can find pride in what they do and inspiration to overcome barriers and develop.

Barnet Young Carers services are built around what young carers have said they want and need. Their emotional and mental wellbeing, educational support and socialisation are the pillars of our programme. Identifying, supporting, celebrating and raising the profile of young carers has been and remains our aim; and we have demonstrated it with the work we have done and achieved.

But we need your help to continue and expand these programmes.  Your donation will make a real difference.  Just £10 pays for information to a school and £20 pays for a young carer to take part in one of our Broadening Horizons activities.  £40 will provide valuable tuition support.

Our mission is to enable young carers to thrive.  They make tremendous sacrifices to care for someone.  We want to make sure that those sacrifices don’t deny them the opportunities they deserve.
