They can be any young person between the ages of 5 – 17 who do lots to help a loved one with an illness, disability, mental health condition or dependent on drugs/alcohol. Barnet Young Carers in partnership with Arts Against Knives, has secured additional funding to support hundreds of young carers in Barnet who are 10 - 24 to receive high quality mentoring support. This support service is aimed at any child or young person with caring responsibilities who will benefit from mentoring to improve their confidence, self-esteem, address concerns or worries related to their caring roles or school life and set up longer term goals.
