Young Carers Action Day 2026
‘Fair Futures for Young Carers’ is 2026 Young Carers Action Day’s focus. Taking place on Wednesday 11 March, it calls for action to ensure young carers have the same opportunities to learn, grow and thrive as their peers, with the right recognition, support and chances to reach their potential. Carers Trust have produced a range of downloadable resources to help you get involved, including posters for professionals and young carers, as well as a storytelling guide. Would you consider placing some posters on your school noticeboards / classrooms and hosting a 10 minute assembly about young carers? Why not playing our short ‘we know what to do film’ and follow it with a class discussion or make it part of a PSHE lesson on young carers?
